Millennials feared this. They wanted to kill Rock music after all. Now that Zoomers have become the spiritual successors of Gen X, we can finally go back to real music again.

I liked their performance

Millennials actually played instruments and were in bands. Where are all the zoomer rock bands?

Peaches and fish

look at the trends during millennial times. boiled down pop rock with increasing electronic elements. just compare gen x era emo with millennial emo. then replaced it with rap and edm entirely.
>>
>>131140088
No more infrastructure and money for bands. Zoomer Rock is mostly made in bedrooms

Geese comes to mind as an example of a good Gen Z band, but I don't know what there is beyond that.

I WANNA SEE OLIVIA’s RODRIGO
>>
>>131139477
We don't have enough rock bands for that shit. Our generation's underground is mostly rage rappers and EDM. Can't we just talk about Corgan performing with Rodrigo?

>>131140088
They exist. People just don't care. The newer crop are in Metalcore, Post-Hardcore, Screamo and all that shit.

Wasn't rock supposed to be le hardcore anti culture? Now they're bringing Disney stars on stage. lol.
Zoomers do not give a shit about rock anyway
Olivia Rodrigos fanbase is entirely under 14 year olds who will grow out of it and over 35 year old pedolennials.
Anyone inbetween does not give a shit about rock.

Can confirm. I'm involved in a scene geared towards this sort if thing, and for every unc like me there are at least 100 zoomers.

if that were true she'd have a lot more streams, given the amount of free media attention she gets.
>>

Old Lady has class and wears a decent costume.
Clown on the left has zero aura and needs to show her naked ass for attention. Sad.

First they came for rap and killed it. Next they came for country and killed it. Now, they’re coming for rock.

Opening for old bands isn't really a mark of credibility anymore. Most older rock bands have become caricatures of themselves, their stories have been told to death, and the associated tropes are played out in movies, TV shows etc. The movements they represented, many of them inorganic to begin with, have been discarded by the labels that used them to get rich. Sure, bands like Metallica and the Stones that have big mainstream pull will be stadium acts until they get too old to hold the instruments for 90 minutes, but nobody's going to Mac DeMarco or Viagra Boys and saying to themselves "Thank the Almighty these guys opened for Golden Earring!"
