He’s a pretty good guitarist. He’s not a virtuoso per se, but he knows how to bring the right energy to every song. I’d say he’s a phenomenal rock songwriter. He’s extremely prolific and has brought Thee Oh Sees through many evolutions, where no new sound ever seemed forced or genre-touristy. It’s really hard to pick a favorite album.

I think arguments about guitar virtuosity are dead now, theres that zoomer twink with the neck tattoos and his music is completely unlistenable. Its a very 2020s feel, we went too far and found out we were worshipping a false idol.
