One of them, usually Ed, hyper-focused on something and lost track of everything and everyone else. Tension ensues, band drama, you know the deal. But Al ALWAYS took his brothers side, regardless of how retarded it was. They were just very obnoxious to deal with, always an "us vs them" mentality. Similarly, Al flips fucking shit when someone speaks negatively about Ed. Sammy complained that Ed would often be a menace ruining shows when he'd smoke meth, and Al took great offense to that, despite it being an objective fact. All the bad blood in this band exclusively comes from Ed and Al being temperamental and enabling each other. Mike, who never hurt anyone, was simply on the "other half" of the band and that's ultimately what got him the boot (to be replaced by Ed's son Wolfgang)
