K. Keep me posted.
>>
>>131204843
No she didn't because the pioneers of jungle and dnb didn't know about this performance nor did they sample it
>>
>>131204843
That's just untrue. She was too busy devouring burgers
>>
>>131206653
youre very rude

rip karen

>>131204843
Jazz drummers have used breaks from time immemorial
>>
>>131204843
Fuck off back to redd*t
>>

Jungle is substantially and fundamentally different from breakcore, so saying she "found[ed]" either is a little disingenuous.

I enjoy jungle personally, have for years, but breakcore is not really something worth even thinking about, much less attributing a pioneer to.

Cool topic though, OP. :)

10 times out of 10 they didn't

Ho Chi Minh would be disappointed that the people of Vietnam are slavishly devoted to American pop music of the distant past. Pick yourself up and be proud

This?? She's just doing a standard Buddy Rich break but slower and worse.

Madlib made a whole album out of jazz samples, I'd recommend it
>>
>>131204939
Update: she stopped eating food, I'll let you know how it goes.

Imagine if she were Black how music critics and the media in general would never shut up about her genius.

Yesterdays New Quintet – Angles Without Edges (madlib is playing all instruments) is good too

>the pioneers of jungle and dnb didn't know about this performance
utterly false. and even if that was the case, the people whom they sampled all looked up to KC.

Listen up, gook. Don't ask a question if you don't want an answer. You make the same retarded claims about Karen Carpenter all the time and get the same evidence posted back at you
>>

jazz musicians had been doing drum breaks for years and years before this. this shit is just a standard 60s rock song sped up. its just a 4 bar loop with no variety except for small fills and little solos and the end of the 8 bar loop. not to sound like a chud but the only reason why i think this went viral is because she was a female drummer from the 60s which was indeed quite novel.
