Transcendent albums that immerse you completely?I want to put headphones on and exist completely within the soundThese albums have been doing it for me over the years but they're getting a bit stale
>>131287760that description is too vague
>>131287760solid choicesI wouldn't insist my rec is anywhere as solid as these, but picrel randomly managed to grab me a few days ago
>>131287799if you know, you know, so you may as well just move along and let others chime in>>131287806Great rec mate. I forgot about this but it's exactly what I mean. This album is "epic"

>>131287854sick, thanks
Natural Snow Buildings - Waves of the Random SeaNSB are one of my favourite bands of the C21st and I think this is their best album. RYMers will always point you to The Dance of the Moon and the Sun or Daughter of Darkness but what do they know? WotRS is all about immersion in massive, uplifting soundscapes. Also maybes:Ensemble Pearl - s/tGinnunagap - RemeindreSecond Family Band - Conversations With the DeadBirchville Cat Motel - Astro CatastrophiesHiguma - Pacific Fog Dreams
>>131287799he means snoozefest albums
>>131287978Oneohtrix Point Never - Tranquilizer
>>131287760
>>131288011instrumental version, no lyrics she sings very bad
>>131287845didn't mean to belittle Ritual, I'm just not sure if it will still work for me the same way the next time in a couple of weeks or monthssomething like The Glowing Man works every time, tested and confirmedpicrel is another recalso properly tested here
>>131288022opera is incredibly boring but i'll give it a try, share a link where we can listen to it
>>131287760hate to say it, because these are great albums, but basically you want /mu/coreim sure you can find the charts on your own, but some obviously adjacent albums would be:nico - desertshorejefre cantu ledesma - love is a streamgas - popcaterina barbieri - ecstatic computationaine o dwyer - music for church cleanersetc
>>131288527I'm not above /mu/core, it's snooty to look down on it, but isn't it like King Crimson, Neutral Milk Hotel, Animal Collective? Still, I can't fault your recos but they're a bit obvious
Am monitoring this thread.
>>131288653how dare you>King Crimson, Neutral Milk Hotel, Animal Collectiveanon these are the pinnacle of avant-teen posewank
>>131287760I think you might enjoy this one OP, a modern classic and one of the most immersive and beautiful concept albums of the 21st century.
This one is the most immersed I've ever been
>>131288023She doesn't sing bad. She sings different notes from the key than the instruments are playing which sounds weird to you because you're not used to it.

>>131290012Never actually, nobody under 45~ likes grateful dead
>>131290041Not true in hippyville where I'm from lole
>>131288653>a bit obviousnot any more obvious than Liumin or Stratosphere
>>131287760Going Places is incredible
>>131288653as the other anon said, yours are pretty obvious too...for deeper cuts check out costin miereanu, jannick schou, second woman, oidupaa vladimir oiun
>>131291236>>131294554Sure, the point of the chart was to offer you guys identifiable waypointsI'm just confused why /mu/core was the recommendation, that's allI know oidupaa and second woman but not the others so thanks
>>131287760that is up to you not up to the music, anything could evoke such experience
