What do you do while you're listening to music?Do you just do nothing and listen to it? Do you do productive things?
>>131300941I like listening to music during my daily walks on the beach. Even at home i prefer pacing around if I'm listening to something a tad energetic. If not I put on a puzzle game and zone out, like a Puyo Puyo or something
>>131300941I dance to it, alone in my room.
sometimes i just chill sometimes i play game :)
>>131300941You aren't actually listening to music if your focus isn't entirely on it.
If I'm listening in my room I usually just browse here Honestly it's the main reason I still come back here

>>131301014Same here. Nothing beats getting into the pure feeling of the music. I unironically wouldn't have gotten better at handling rhythm sections if I didn't do that
Alcohol and drugs
>>131300941Pretty much most things I do I listen to music. I work with music playing, I lurk with music playing (so I guess it's the same as doing nothing), play video games, cut clips, mow the lawn and do chores, drive. When I go to sleep, sometimes I put soft music (other times I watch stuff like How It's Made and Unwrapped). I think the only times I don't listen to music is when I shower, edit videos, or when I make music.
>>131300941I like to focus on listening to the music I have on.

Mostly I listen without distractions around me to make sure I actually listen to it proper. Depending though, on many various situations. When I scout around for new things to add to my list for later listening I background listen to "mix compilations" on whatever speakers I feel like using. When I immerse myself in the listening I choose to use my "good" head phones and my iFi and listen to "select" albums from discographies. When I have a friend over who is also into "listening proper" we spend the time listening more than talking and sometimes rewind the music to make sure we get to listen to the (In case of Black Metal) good riffs proper, when we listen to something we have listened to before we also go more in depth with the listening. When we are more than the two of us listening, we usually just listen to whatever the group agree on as background or mood setting. That can go from Townes Van Zandt to Stevie Wonder to "Buzzoven" given what we feel like. Back in the day my best friend and I used to be "party crushers" due to our music tastes and our inability to "cater" to normal music tastes
