I wouldn't say either really were "in the wrong". The Dandys were all about image, maybe not necessarily sell-outs but definitely posers, caricatures. Anton is just crazy, too crazy to care.

if anyone wants more wild BJM stories, I highly recommend Joels book, it covers the same period as Dig and is highly entertaining kino, Joel is a great writer, funny, witty and poetic, great insight into life in a scummy psych rock band full of junkies and weirdos
