Strats are factually heterosexual, Teles are heterosexual so long as you’re not in a gay indie band, Jaguars are only heterosexual when playing surf or super clean Roy Clark style stuff, Mustangs are gay for anything but out of phase funk licks, Jazzmasters are always gay.

The Fender Powercaster is a relatively rare and unique model, known for its distinctive design and powerful sound. While it’s not as widely recognized as some other Fender models, there have been a few notable musicians associated with it. However, specific information about famous artists exclusively playing the Fender Powercaster is limited.
Some musicians have used Fender models similar to or inspired by the Powercaster, and the guitar has a niche following among collectors and enthusiasts. If you’re interested in a particular artist or genre, I can help find more detailed information!

It's pretty funny honestly. all he does is sit here around the clock repeating his done to death catchphrases to himself like a mindless geriatric, projecting his own insecurities at the other anons, while either being too un-self aware to realise it, or being completely aware of what he's doing with both options being equally as sad. His only response when faced with this undeniable truth is to deflect and deflect and hide away with some snarky green text reply. Just watch i guarantee he does it again.

No.

You're listening to an album recorded in a professional studio that was recorded using a bunch of gear you have no access to. Do you own or have access to a professional recording studio? Are you a recording engineer?

You don't even have the guitars, amps, pedals, etc. That's the bare minimum you'd need to stand in a room and be able to make anything that sounded remotely like that. Never mind being able to pick up a guitar and playing it.

No, you're not going to take your old shitty ass gaming laptop and make it sound like that. Stop asking stupid questions. Dumbfuck retard.

>>131341632
two paths that lead to the same goal. it takes longer to train your ear than it does to learn theory so learning by ear typically makes better musicians but people who never learned theory also have limitations, like playing over new keys or time signatures and communicating ideas with other musicians. they can also get stuck sounding one-dimensional. on the other hand, people that learn very strict theory can struggle with improvising and feeling with music and can end up sounding very scalar and robotic. it can be very anti-soul which is probably why most guitarists are basically cavemen, but you should learn both being skewed towards using your ear.
>>
>>131341600
don't forget the miles and miles and miles and miles of suburban sprawl with nothing but mormons as far as the eye can see. imagine if eric is mormon
>>
>>131342006
so learning theory is the quicker way to achieve your goals. it took a good 3-4 years to be able to truly know where to put my fingers when I heard the music in my head but I knew what a major/minor/blues scale and all my chord qualities sounded like within the first 18 months. I could just paste those patterns anywhere over the fretboard so I had a reasonably large safe zone of knowing where I was anywhere on the neck. where using my ear came in was years of work transcribing ideas in my head onto the fretboard and naturally blending all the scales and when and how to use out of key notes for tension
>>
>>131342032
there’s also that. I forgot the tap water is terrible too because they have to use reclaimed (poop) water. I used to live in az and one time I was baking a cheesecake and had a disposable pan of water in the bottom, and forgot about it for a day and all the shit in the water ate holes in the aluminum
>>
>>131342006

restriction breeds creativity is cope. what you actually want to say is laziness breeds creativity and that's never been true
>>
Any reason for not learning about theory is a retarded cope for laziness. Stop wasting time discussing it again and again.
>>
Restriction breeds creativity when those restrictions are forced upon you. You have three fingers on your left hand. You can't afford a guitar and have to play a shoestring tied to a broom. The brilliant overcome these restrictions. Choosing not to learn theory because you think it's boring is not a restriction, it's a failure. You chose to fail.

Purple is really nice. I'm sorta leaning green desu. Wish the purple one had chrome hardware, I think it'd look so much nicer.

>>131342579
I can see that reasoning and I do like the holo one too though I'm not sure if I'd wanna get it over the other two. Black hardware is a bonus though, much prefer it over gold. I'm still gonna have some time to think it through though I'm glad I at least settled on the model I'll get.
>>
>>131342678
Yeah green is based, black fades are always kino the others look a tad gawdy
>>
>>131342678
>black hardware
that too. me, i would never buy a guitar where the top doesn't match the rest of the body. why is the body dark red when the neck is green and the top is green/black or pink? it's hideous. the other two options are PRS-lite in the worst way.

non-matching bodies are my single most hated guitar feature. anything else like gold hardware is permissible in at least some contexts. the contrast between black-binding-body in the "green" guitar is actually even worse than in the purple one and i don't like it one bit.
>>
>>131342718
Yeah, I'm really thirsting for a black and white sunburst kinda thing. There's this Ibanez az with something similar which I would love but I do want a Floyd right now.

>>131342743
That's understandable, I have a far few gripes with such things too. I hate black guitars with rosewood boards, especially if the headstock is black too. The brown rosewood clashes so badly with the black.

Color wise I like all three of these. The binding doesn't really bother me since if fits with the rest of the natural back desu.
>>
>>131342363
Purple
>>
>>131342796
i don't mind bindings as long as it's not abalone
the middle guitar looks fine it's that the body is black behind it.

if you want to go with the other two the purple is more consistent even though iot's not my style. gold hardware doesn't go with black/gfreen, with the gold/purple/red it's at least playing in key.

the black pickups with gold hardware really bother me. the middle guitar is by far the most consistent. what model is that? did you look up videos of the "metallic" finish?

>HSS tele
That was my dream guitar, but I settled for a HSS Strat-type after getting an HH Tele. I was also looking at this baritone Tele, unfortunately in HH.

I want P90s, so, it's gonna be a Jazzmaster-style P90-P90 guitar, most likely one of those Jet guitars. If the fretwork is well done, nice. If it sucks, even better, because I get to finally try leveling, crowning and polishing it myself.
>>
>>131342819
It's a nice one. A part of me wants to get a pair of pink dimarzios eventually which would look nicer against the green though. Even against the holo.

>>131342850
I'm eventually gonna change the pickups most likely anyway. I did look at them though I think I'm not sure how consistent the holographic effect is amongst all of them (sorta like how consistent is the flame on the neck).

this is my first, it's pretty nice. i like the shape but it's out of production which is why i got a good clearance deal. the finish and care is worlds apart from my 500-700 chink/indo planks but i can't compare to anything better.

feels great, stainless steel frets are super nice. really comfy when sitting in classical style because of the offset and insane access to the 24th fret. although the bridge pickup in this one is pretty harsh to my taste.

hey anon, seems like you're in love with what Olympia sounded like in the 90s.

Here's the scoop on Justin Trosper's 90s rig:
>Generally pawn shop single coiled shitplanks from Japan (closet weeb), including:
>Epiphone ET-270 (broke on him multiple times)
>St. George greenburst with toaster single PUs
>Univox Hi-Flyer Phase 2
>Ampeg Dan Armstrong lucite copy

>EHX LPB-1 and Maestro Echoplex were the only effects he used back then, they tuned by ear to disastrous results
>Sunn Concert Lead that was banged up and defective as fuck, would cut out (solid state)
>Plush 2x15" cab, same as Vern's

Current-day Justin:
>Ampeg Dan Armstrong AMG100
>picrel
>Sound City Master Lead 50, or 50 Plus (both tube)
>two cabs, Marshall & Riviera

fwiw his backup guitarist, Scott, uses a Sovtek Mig 50 and a similarly configured board.
There's probably some image of Sunn Concert Lead or Sovtek Mig 50 out there.

If you dig hard enough, MagRecOne is on the wayback machine and you can look at the studio equipment they used to record Leaves.

hilariously enough, unwound wanted to title new plastic ideas as "rat conspiracy" because of the conditions of the studios they would mix and master in. they were poor too. their gear was actually shit but they made a whole career with it and bought the boutique crap after they were vindicated. so stop trolling

the only reason Unwound sounds as fucked up as they do is BECAUSE all their gear was cheap microphonic shitplanks from Japan and pawn shop amp heads in dogshit condition, because it was all they could afford. They were lucky, because Sunn amps seemed to be plentiful in the pacific Northwest back then, and those amps have somehow carried that entire region to godhood. Explain Red Fang, for fuck's sake.
>>
>>131346540
Red Fang sucks.
>>
>>131346581
exactly. I'm saying Sunn amps carried them all the way to that level of notoriety.

>>131339696
>>131346424
anyways i'd rather dump this info on a dying thread for when this anon comes back and sees an Unwound obsessive fed as much info as possible about Justin's rig

this is a much easier reference tone to achieve than what you hear on Fiction Friction, for instance (room reverb and god knows what else on Justin's signal on the clean intro, for instance - definitely an outlier). You also get how Justin's amp just HARD squealed whenever he stopped playing

Sprain/Shearling also chase the hell out of this tone (Alex literally met Vern) and use silverface Sunn Concert Lead & Concert Bass heads. The intentionally induced feedback they make ends up sounding pretty similar, if more uniform and less "swinging object squeal" than Justin's red-knob, busted up Concert Lead.

This is a bit more muddled by there being at least 3 overdubbing guitar tracks and Justin diverging on each for more chaos, but it's not that complicated of a sound to emulate

>I'm saying Sunn amps carried them all the way to that level of notoriety.
