Hey, I just got out of prison a year ago and didn't play guitar for a year after because I was worse than I used to be at it, didn'tplay guitar more than once or twice in prison because they only had accoustics that had such high string tension it'dhurt my fingers and I didn't care that much at the time. I used to occasionally write my own simple songs using some real easy and simple advice from the internet but I don't remember how to and can't find the advice I used to use. I want to write some folk and metal songs, doesn't need to be impressive I'm just playing around for fun, I'd also like to learn to write my own solos and also learn to shred(I wasn't very good at guitar but that's what I'd started learning when I got arrested soon after) any advice?
