Fuck you this place isnt meant for elitists with shit taste to “gatekeep” people like you try and tell me to listen to “/mu/core” and the majority of it is just fucking noise with no rhythm and even if it has lyrics it’s usually impossible to understand even when reading them. I’m not going to sit here and pretend like it isn’t ok for me to listen to Korn and Slipknot even if I’m 35, it’s music that resonated with me in my formative years and still resonates with me today in this shit world. When Corey sings on “Wait and Bleed” I STILL feel that, in fact I might even feel it more today than I did back then. Society says my own shortcomings are my fault, that I’m a coward that can’t engage with the real world because I don’t have a job or a girlfriend. Now recently that makes me a “chud” (whatever that even fucking means) I’m sick of all of it and that’s the whole point of 4chan in the first place, I didn’t come here to have more society forced down my throat or to be told what I have to listen to I came here to be embraced for my anger towards a society that says I’m “awful” for being a virgin and engaging in meaningful conversations on /pol/, on all of 4chan. So yeah, me not “getting” Spiderland isn’t important and it isn’t that I’m not trying to get it or failing to get it, it’s just that it sounds bad. I prefer to close my eyes and listen to Psychosocial and I’m proud of that, fuck you.

White women sell, look at all the "totally not marketing" threads on /mu/ 24/7 showing off the industry's current favorite white woman pop stars.

Is the recent country push designed to instill conservative/MIGA values?

Hey man I really need you to listen to what I listen to, watch what I watch, think what I think, vote for who I vote for, spend money on what I buy. I need your validation that I am doing the right thing. I need everyone to confirm that I am normal and a Good Person. Thank you for the data I need confirmation and validation.

I've never listened to a single song on today's Billboard.

I understand how America is the hottest market in the world, but it's crazy how irrelevant these country songs topping their music chart are in the world stage.
Also, it's crazy how dead and buried rap is in 2026.
>>
>>131417679
Everything is astroturfed nowadays. Two decades ago Mr. Brightside was a worldwide hit because it was catchy and real people liked it and people still listen to it today. A decade ago Somebody That I Used To Know was some random indie-adjacent song I assume some random but real DJ started playing and somehow got overplayed to hell, presumably because it also connected with real people. Nowadays, everything is based on Spotify streams and Youtube views and that's extremely easy to game without relying on real people. Execs pump numbers to build hype around manufactured stars, but real people couldn't give less of a shit.
>>
Why can't country be good? Why does it have to be shitty pop country with trap beats either by tattooed repressing homosexuals or nepo baby women?

Nashville is its own thing and would do what they do if rap had never existed.

Country really kind of lost it since the 80s when they grew up in postwar suburbia and didn't experience real poverty in their childhoods.

Start with Reba McEntire. Her father was a wealthy rancher, she was anything but poor growing up.
