All Interpol albums are a snoozefest, there are like a couple of decent songs across their catalogue but when you listen even to the revered Turn on The Bright Lights it's mostly a noise of reverb that blends together. It's supposed to be all melancholic but it's too theatrical while being musically undefined because of their whole wall of sound schtick. I never got it. I have the same issue with theatrical dream pop records. I really like the first Beach House albums but later on the pathos and reverb got increasingly more pronounced and it just turned into white noise to me aside from select songs. Couldn't get through Once Twice a Melody, double album of that shit, fuck off.
