Weird Al for pseudo-intellectuals
>>
and jews
>>

There's nothing intellectual or pseudo intellectual about this guy, I seriously have no idea why anyone would call it pseudo intellectual. It's just pretty straightforward parodies

What do we think of this fella

it's because kyle gordon's style of parody is doing really accurate pastiche that simultaneously pokes fun at the genre he's parodying without sounding too out of place. this is extremely highbrow to someone who listens to weird al's wacky amish raps.

Yes. They're both musical satirists beating the same dead horse. Weird-Al is a modern satirist and Gordon is a post-modern satirist. Gordon appeals to pseuds because it requires knowledge of past sub-culture music tropes to get the joke, which makes pseuds feel smart because they get the reference.

I love him but if I listen to him to much it starts to become genuinely depressing. Probably doesn't help that he's basically describing my life in his music.
>BUT NOW I JUST WISH I WAS DEAD, SO I'M EATING CRISPS IN BED

absolutely based

I think making jokes about the tropes of the thing you are making a parody of is kind of the most basic concept of a parody.
>>

Kyle Gordon makes genre music while attempting to make high minded critiques of the genre he's parodying. It's music for beard stroking thinkers. 'Haha yeah Paul Simon's Graceland was problematic! Thank you Kyle Gordon!'

for me the schtick got old quick, but it was funny and has funny moments

Weird Al's parody music is more like adopting the song for a bizarro world where there are Amish rappers instead of gangsters and Americana songs are set in the Star Wars universe, where as Kyle is making fun of the music itself and the compositions are untethered to a popular song. Eat It isn't making fun of Michael Jackson, it's using his music as vehicle for a unrelated joke. Kyle is making fun of nu-metal musicians and millennial stomp clappers in song.

A quick glance at his comment section tells you all you need to know about his intentions and his audiences reactions to us music. They're all very intelligent in their own minds.

>'Haha yeah Paul Simon's Graceland was problematic! Thank you Kyle Gordon!'
yeah that was totally the intended message and he wasn't just poking a little fun at corny world music. just like this was a feminist critique of the rampant misogyny in hip hop and not just laughing at how ridiculous rapper singer duets were sometimes.

It’s parody music for people that feel superior to everybody else. Every one of the songs I’ve heard from this guy he has a deep hatred and smugness against what he’s parodying. To pretend he’s even on the level of Weird Al is a sin. And if you ever saw his terrible skits he did before doing these shitty songs you’d know that he has always been this way.
>>
He's much better than Weird Al
>>

He's much more Jewish than Weird Goy
