Gear recommendations?I produce and record brostep/electropop in Ableton, and I'm looking for something that's going to actually enhance my workflow and help inspire new ideasI've looked at stuff like samplers and drumpads like the sp404 and MPC and stuff like that but they genuinely feel gimmicky and really only helpful if you want to make boombap Kanye type beats for instagram reels and redditI don't know if I'm looking for something like a new midi controller like an ableton push or a new synthesizer/rompler or some sort of multi effect thing, I'm just looking for some general advice and recommendations I currently have an arturia keystep which I use solely as a midi controller as well as a behringer neutron which I haven't plugged in in years (Been too lazy to order a new cable)
>>131437946Just get vengeance sample packs like everyone else
>>131437946>brostepthe fuck is this?
>>131437946I'm afraid you don't need any gear to make passable brostep. Just Serum 2, Phaseplant, and a little bit of masochism.
>>131437946>brostepwould be a service to the world to stop doing that or stop "producing" altogether, anon
>>131438225Yes I know that, but I really like working with my hands and mixing in elements from other genres like electropop and crunkcore for example and I just want to know if there's any equipment that could give me some more unique outcomes than just following the same workflow as everyone else>>131438112>>131438290:D

MPC is god tier for finger drumming just record it into your DAW
>>131437946>I produce and record brostep/electropopI recommend a stool and a rope
>>131438225>Serum 2, PhaseplantGet ZEBRA 3!
>>131438341Add electric guitar, it’s fun to play, makes you a better musician, not many peope use it in that genre, you can do funk, metal, 80spop, shoegaze, dub etc on a guitar, could also use bass guitar, some slap bass or funk bass could be cool in that genre.
