Because there is something in it called "patriotism". Much like foreign people always think their foreign shit is better than all other foreign shit. USA, Denmark, Iceland, Hungary, or Spain... Even Gaza? What fucking difference. I don't think this person seem to think they are unique... Just not your regular type of shit. Personally as a Dane, they were great once when I was a teenager and only just discovered it... Now John Frusciante holds my heart in a tight grip.
The most interesting "indiginous" music is, from my small viewpoint, hungarian/Romanian. "NAPRA" is fucking amazing and a feature in themselves
