No one has fun anymore. Kids no longer rock and roll all night and party every day.

I'm not saying beatmaking or digital production is easier than rock music, I don't think "harder" is a useful way of looking at these skills anyway. But it's a much clearer road for people to learn to make beats on their computer and post it online then to learn an instrument, find 2-4 other people who know instruments (mostly different ones), then learn to mix and record multiple instruments together instead of eletronic versions of it. Even then, the DJ/Producer can bring an eletric piano sized table or even just a laptop to play their fun music live at even house events. What I'm saying is I can't blame people for moving fun music from rock to beats.

once a decade some band comes along and people go 'oh yeah, you can make music with just guitars, bass and drums' and its incredibly refreshing. especially when its not super distorted stuff, just natural guitar tone and counter melodies and rhythms
