We only care about real rockstars who are addicts and fucked up in the head and have horrible personal relationships with everyone because they're so fucked up. These guys are too clean.

There was a local band called Turnstyle here in the late 90s and every time I read see something about this new band I get confused.

We didn't ignore them. Glow On was pretty good, considering the mostly dead state of rock.
But they found a style that worked and now they just keep repeating the same recipe.

I also liked that EP they did with Mall Grab, "Share A View", which was more atmospheric and set on beats. "I wanna be blind" was the standout piece on that EP. Wished they did more hybrid collabs like that.

They fucking sold out man they decided to stop making the same hardcore album for the rest of their careers and that is not ok

Not really related to them but I'm becoming more convinced that the best way for a band to have a career while keeping their artistic integrity is to disband within 10 years of their debut album. To an extent, I'd say that people will mythologize their "potential" to a far higher level than what the band actually might have put out had they stuck around
