what do you like most about it?
what genre(s) do you play?
pedals of choice?

talk and converse endlessly about your instrument(s)

sorry for potato photo quality.
My epiphone SG has been my workhorse since 2008. Bought at guitar center for about $250-ish. This is actually the second one i've owned. The first one i bought from guitar center developed a huge crack down the back of the bookmatch. luckily, it was within 30 days of buying it, so they swapped it out for a new one no-questions asked. been with me ever since. swapped the stock pickups for dimarzios. has a custom brass nut. upgraded electronics with each volume knob able to coil-split its respective pickup. have written/recorded every style of music on it from country to blues to deathcore.

god i love SGs. can literally do everything.

the only one i actually owned was a gibson sg-x which was literally just a bridge humbucker, pure rock machine but who really needs more than a bridge pickup sometimes anyway. i traded her plus cash for what i have now, it was one of the summer beach series ones

I inherited the Hagström from my father, it was his first electric guitar and is a '71 model from the line with Jimmy D'aquisto special tailored headstocks or some shit like that. It is a good guitar for blues, partially some jazz, and has a sorta dumpf-mellow sound to it if used right. It also mixes well into heavier genres of metal like sludge/doom and give the Oomph that my fender stratocaster does not add

I gotta fix it up, though. It has been gathering dust a long while because one of the pick-ups "disastrously" in my worst period of life, got "knocked in"...

Ibanez AR550 in polar white, one of 36 ever made! Probably less around now, active EQ built in and a gain circuit. Traded an ‘84 MIJ Tele and a Bassman 135 stack for it

re-issue of The Strat series from the 80s. made in japan. same exact specs as the original series. great guitar. very special to me because my friend gave it to me. he's like a brother to me. he's a drummer, so we were always sending gear to each other for birthdays and whatnot. it's become a workhorse. great for jamming/writing. great for recording. already used it on about 30 songs i've recorded.

thanks to sheet happens, finding tabs has become impossible.
this is bullshit dude.

you used to be able to find tabs for any song all over the internet, there were even forums, now it's just ultimate piece of shit and some other lame ass sites that don't work or you have to pay money to learn a fucking song. guitarists got greedy as shit.

epiphone > gibson
there. i said it. fight me.
>>
>>131562893
this one was made in 1950 before gibson bought epiphone. they were two competing companies at that point, not just cheaper versions of gibsons
>>
>>131562912
oh i know. that's what i'm saying. epiphones MOGGED gibsons of the time. i've played both. even when they got bought out, the MIJ epiphones were better than the MIA gibsons. gibson was hit an miss all from the 70-2000s. very overrated. i've played great gibsons, but the price hardly ever justifies the amout of guitar you get. the quality control has always been shit. i think late 70s/early 80s gibsons were peak, but a lot of people would disagree. then for a brief time in the early 90s, they got good again.

squier classic vibe butterscotch tele. bought it back when i worked at a music shop back in 2011/12. it's original print-run. the first run was made in china at a custom shop. then they outsourced to Indonesia and the quality nosedived. replaced all the electronics with gold-plated bullshit. 4 way switch (bridge, series, parallel, neck). pickups by Bareknuckle UK. the "piledriver" set. great guitar. probably appeared on at least 70 of my recordings at minimum. realistically, probably 100+. had it since 2011. she's been good to me. plays better than most modern MIA fender teles
>>
it's crazy how few musicians there are on a supposed music board
