If they're just a boyband, how is their music so complex? In the span of just a few years, they went from simply covering other people's songs, to writing their own using advanced techniques like aeolian cadences (look it up) all without any musical experience or training.

>>131621689I really appreciate how these guys could've just kept shitting out pastiche 60s pop but instead chose to make weird, creative music. I think that set a really good example for artists worldwide showing that you could be unique and still sell records, and that had a really great effect on music for the next 20 years. I think that now, culturally, we've reverted to how things were before. pop culture went back to being easily discarded bubblegum trash with no room for creativity and experimentation, which I guess was what led to beatlemania in the first place.
