Strictly speaking I used the internet for a few work related things, but didn't access anything outside of that. I don't want to give too many details, but there are ways of living out in the boonies where you can deal only with people most of the time and avoid computers. I knew people who got on the internet for the first time just in the past few years (very old people, though).
