I like the way some bits are kind of clustered in places and seem to fade in and out, stopping and starting, but it's probably because I wrote the melody it's based off and know what bits come where, so it's more interesting to me. I didn't want it to be overly stretched so that there wasn't enough interest besides the droning stuff in the background, but maybe I just don't get what makes ambient stuff enjoyable.>>131632392work in progress

>>131632514Thanks, that's nice of you to say and does encourage me a bit. >What kind of music do you usually make, out of interest?It's a bit mixed because I'm quite new to making music in general, but usually stuff on my guitar that's a mish-mash of influences (a lot of alt rock/ late 90's post hardcore/pop-punk) and I otherwise I tend to try and make stuff that would fall into 'video game music', which is basically me trying out multiple genres so I can learn and understand sound selection, songwriting, theming, synthesising etc. I do, however, really like some ambient stuff, but I'm also very new to that genre and I have surface level taste at best. As you can imagine, progress is very slow with such a broad scope, so I don't post stuff often at all. Jack of all trades and all that.
