I do not think they are good (yes they are good musicians but their music is not listenable) and I think the tiktok crowd is really influenced by aesthetic. They have some weird costumes and their music is weird, so you have this midwit counter-culture subculture who thinks they are revolutionary when they are really nothing new. I also saw a video describing how they are exactly what music needs as AI is not trained on microtonal music so they are a direct reaction to AI.
