>constantly hear all these great ideas in your head with crystal clear fidelity>cant actually execute any of them because youre such a stunted retard you can hardly even play a maj7 chord

>>131637893>you can hardly even play a maj7 chordYou can't even be fucked to stick to a key that only demands open chords?
>>131637893For me it's>constantly hear all these great ideas in your head with crystal clear fidelity>can actually execute them but leave them on the shelf once they're 90% done
>>131637893Try starting off on Ukulele. They are unserious instruments so you don't need to stress so hard about fucking up plus there's less strings which may be less overwhelming for your ADHD brain
>>131637893Dreaming vs executingI think most musicians, and artists in general, build their work one aspect at a time. They might have a vision for the whole thing beforehand,or occasionally a chord progression or lyrics can just pour out of them, but with a few genius or musical savant exceptions, they don't just shit out perfect complete work after getting inspired without working on it, or actually putting it all together and then refining it.
That's where you learn how to compose and hire studio musiciansor learn a DAW and how to make a midi sequence
>>131638019Most singer-songwriter type musicians realize that their project needs to start out small and to build on it from there. That's why most band demos are just simple acoustic tracks. All you need is a guitar and a voice just to get an idea out there, once that's done you then bring on your other bandmates or even a producer/DAW and do the rest from there. That way if the final production doesn't feel up to your standards, you can just fall back to your original acoustic idea.
