>>131684904Brat always rubbed me the wrong way, not because it's a bad album, but because even in music groups and pretentious forums where they attack every astroturfed artist, they defend Brat to death like it's Jesus' second coming, and I just never understood why people were so hyped for this album, saying that it finally made hyperpop mainstream when in the mainstream just did ok, and even "Charli" felt like it did more noise when it came out. Again, I think it's a great album, but it feels like it's marketing played a huge part in its reception but people just want to ignore that part because people believe Charli is still an underdog when she's been in the big leagues for a long time. Plus, I also do think Fantano giving it a 10 played a huge role in it, he's been simping on her for years and he took the first opportunity to give her a 10
