I feel like you shouldn't be allowed to give your opinion on a song unless you've listened to it 5 times straight on repeat. Honestly it's not even an unreasonable request

Depends on the song. Pop music should be immediately gratifying, so if it doesn’t hit on the very first listen, there’s a problem and it’s not serving its purpose correctly. On the other hand, more challenging/experimental stuff might not click even on the first 5 listens, especially back to back. But then maybe you revisit it a couple months later and you start to get it.
