My estranged father a few years after Some Rap Songs, but I had already exhausted that album front to back... revisiting this gives me chills. It's like the song was created the minute after he buried him. I haven't heard anyone distill the confusion and bleakness of grief in something so potent that it only needs a minute to get its point across.
