Only bass players know him. If any non-boomer musicians cites him as an influence, I don't believe them. It's just that he's the first electric bass player of note, at least in a historic sense, so he gets way more credit then is due.

Nardwuar's whole gimmick is about trying to get bullied, that's why he maintained such terrible breath and spoke that annoyingly, he was deliberately making fun of the musicians by being this parody of a superfan in confrontational punk way. Then the times changed and people were now genuinely loving his schtick as a ''wholesome'' character.
