love this wine aunt
I guess i could wank it to her
>>131778293#MeToo
>>131777790Based Nino spreading his waifu around
>>131777790I listened to some and she's completely average and forgettable
>>131778887Funny, I feel that way about the album Don't Forget Me. The title track and "The Kill" were worthy but the rest ranged from pedestrian to memorable for the wrong reasons. Looking at you, "So Sick of Dreaming".
>>131778901
>>131778560Holy crap what an uggo
I donβt listen to f*male βartists,β sorry.
>>131778919For you.
>>131778989Wow, she's so handsome
>>131779011drizzy lost wpop won now fuck off
>>131778560What a zany lady, I kinda love this quirky chungus
>>131778887keep listening until it clicks
>>131779585#MeToo
>>131779298What's wrong with admiring a handsome person? Pretty unhinged comment from you
Glad im not the only Maggie superfan here
>>131781567Holy shit, I'm saving this. Thanks for this. If you created this, you're awesome. If you didn't, you're still awesome.
>>131781638I'm curious, what would your picks be if you had to condense the list down to a Top 5?
>>131777790Generational talent
It's rich I just posted this, but I gotta confess something>>131781626Phoebe Bridgers outdoes Maggie Rogers live, and I say this as a longtime skeptic of the Pheebster and superfan of my darling. On album, Maggie sounds more pleasant to me than Phoebe, but as a songwriter and public performer, Phoebe leaves my darling in the dust. Near unison participation inside TD Garden from the audience highlights Phoebe's power as a singer. My darling, as much as I adore her, could maybe get half the crowd singing along. Phoebe got what felt like everyone. And then, came the scream from everyone on "I Know the End". Holy fucking shit, most Power Electronics acts wish that could record that sort of noise.Maggie is still my #1 but for entirely sentimental and personal reasons.
>>131781658I've since revised it, but for my new top 5, it'd be as follows: Satellite, Deep in the Earth, Embers, Anywhere With You, Love You for a Long TimeThe Echo is my absolute favorite with Surrender and Notes from the Archive being neck and neck for second place. Something so pure and innocent about early Maggie.
is she that one lesbian from boygenius
>>131781754Nah, she wasn't in boygenius. Phoebe was, but not Maggie. When she had short hair, she sort of looked like Charlotte Rampling in The Night Porter:https://youtu.be/PGEPttyWq9Qhttps://youtu.be/WdrNXRdkuG4
>>131781701Was listening to this earlier
>>131781783That's my least favorite song of hers. Too Lena Dunham for me.
this song reminds me of my exhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgWC5oEuyjU&list=RDNgWC5oEuyjU
>>131781820"Dog Years" is a lovely tune and certainly the highlight of Now That the Light Is Fading. I might replace "Symmetry" with that one. I'd also move "James" and "Little Joys" further up.
I'm a bad enough dude to listen to her fart in my corn flakes
>>131778919This woman is 32.
>>131782116Anyone can post unflattering photos.
>>131782127that whole video is unflattering
>>131782127She looks cute here, you probably look like that just after waking up as well
I voted for her in that tournament /wpop/ had
>>131782213I'm perfectly fine with it, but others act like it's evidence she's the ugliest woman in entertainment.
>>131782248I want to grow old with her
>>131779797>As I Lay Dying, Didion, BatailleOK she's kind of based
>>131782257She has the perfect bougie wife vibe, doesn't she? She sort of woman
>>131782301>bougieI don't get that vibe, she looks like someone you could go dirt biking with and watch the sunset
>>131782312This is her 10 million dollar childhood home for context
>>131782382So what, that doesn't mean she isn't a nature girl at heart and more of a tomboy than some stuck up bougie wife
wpop is dead these days, everyone is hanging out in /maggie/ now
>>131782415That's just a curated boho fashion style. She's an NYC transplant bougie girl
Not hating btw. We love Maggie on here
>>131777790Don't forget me is one of my favorite songs of all time... it's so sincere, sweet, and sad all at once: truly haunting
>>131782312>>131782415>>131782444I adore Maggie, but man, you don't know the half. She's painfully bougie. Just read her Substack. You could turn this into a drinking game:https://maggierogers.substack.com/p/the-universe-kissed-my-foreheadhttps://maggierogers.substack.com/p/the-times-they-are-achanginghttps://maggierogers.substack.com/p/the-tying-of-knots-and-untying-againhttps://maggierogers.substack.com/p/somewhere-between-lost-and-rebornIf that wasn't enough, she's an ambassador for Ralph Lauren, the quintessential WASP clothing line.
>>131782382They don't call her Maggie Moneybags for nothing
>>131782478To me, it's preciously feminine. Intoxicatingly so.>So close the door and change the channel>Give me something I can handle>A good lover or someone that's nice to me>Take my money, wreck my Sundays>Love me 'til your next somebody>Oh, but promise me that when it's time to leave>Don't forget meTrouble is, when a relationship is over, it's over. You can't plead not to be yesterday's news. It's almost childlike, isn't it? The cynic in me would scoff, "Isn't that cute?" Still, there's a sweetness in it that captivates me. It's touchingly fragile yet strangely hopeful in that distinctly womanly way that softens my bitter heart. If a woman like her said that to you, you'd just want to hug her afterwards.
>>131782488>>131782454Tired of people who joined the fanbase in the past week thinking they know who she is just because she had a more privileged upbringing than most. Yes sure she can play the part of a more classy woman when she wants but at heart she is an adventurer and an outsdoorwoman. She literally spent months in Antarctica>Rogers spent six weeks in Antarctica with a grant from the National Science Foundation>From tales Rogersβ father told her of the famous Antarctic explorer Robert Falcon Scott, with what she referred to as enormous scale and heroism, wanted to experience the Antarctic for herself and make her stories out of it.
>>131782503This song might as well be about Maggie:https://youtu.be/oIAkRVBS-0U
>>131782566This fits her more. Free at heart, a wandering spirithttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myeJYtiKJR0
>>131782559I'm not saying she doesn't have a passion for nature and the great outdoors. She clearly does and it shows in her music. That said, she also lives a very charmed life and has a worldview of a woman who spent much of her life on the proverbial airplane. By the way, I've been posting about Maggie for a year and a half now. I made an absolute pest of myself and adopted this trip once a troll started making pseudo-Maggie threads that were blamed on me.Where the hell have you been?
This is the hottest she's looked and this is not up for debate
>>131782598Are you gonna forget about me now that there's another Maggie poster :(
>>131782598I was one of the posters when we had Maggie generals way back when but Ive been on and off /mu/ for long periods as well. Haven't seen too many Maggie threads these days.
>>131782601I prefer fashion Maggie although pixie Maggie has her own charm. She was trying to go the Annie Lennox route by dyeing it blonde but only looked like Ellen DeGeneres having a hot flash.
>>131782603Absolutely not. We've got history, my Buddy. I was initially a cunt to you but your steadfast posting had me realize you're more willing to talk about music and are as passionate about your waifu as I am about mine. I listened to Badlands and you listened to Surrender. /halmag/ was our brainchild.
>>131782617NO U
>>131782617hey up yours buddy (not you buddy)
>>131782651Confession: I don't care for "Alaska". I'm glad it brought her fame but it's not my style at all. "Want Want" was my first. Yours?
I will allow that I could've been colder on Maggie had I discovered her in a different setting. Like I said many times before, we couldn't be more mismatched politically and she represents everything I loathe about American liberalism. Were I to discover her outside my gym, odds are she wouldn't appeal to my need for powerful and commanding music. That said, she caught me in the right place at the right time, and that counts for me. After enduring a year of slop no thanks to Zoom Media, a song like "Want Want" would inevitably hit me like a freight train. That it's about overcoming first time anxiety couldn't have been more on point for me. She's the first mainstream artist who captured my heart in years.
>>131782773Are you one of those right wing zionists
>>131782712I don't know what the first song by her I heard but Shatter is what got me hooked
>>131782802It appears my reputation, for once, does not precede me. I despise Zionists and have no use for the current Administration. Indeed, I have no use for most American Administrations.I describe myself as a post-right nativist. Put simply, I have the same relation with the right that Bob Black and Aimee Terese do with the left. >>131782818"Shatter" is a great song. One of the highlights from Surrender.
>>131782818I first heard Maggie live from a festival I was at in the UK, she came on stage for the Phoebe show and I checked her out afterward
>>131782876Maggie rescued me from the miasmic stew of substandard slop my gym plays no thanks to Zoom Media. >>131782904At least you never listened to Olivia Rodrigo, what a fucking hack
>>131782454Mangdelli or whatever his name is is a working class man. He isn't nearly the same breed of ruling class as the Trumps and the Rothsfellers
holy shit lmao this board is dead
>>131782950On the contrary, Maggie is a breath of fresh air on a stagnant board.
>>131782917Actually, yspsfagsil endeared me to Olivia Rodrigo, but I originally didn't like her. The song "So American" brought me around on her. >>131782957Maggie is wonderful. Anyway, it's getting late and I need to rest. Keep the party going.
