Why are White rappers seen as something detrimental to the hip-hop genre? If you're a hip-hop fan wouldn't it be awkward if your playlist was all Black men? It should be about the music itself. A White guy idolizing only Black performers would look silly imo.

It's cringe. It's always been cringe. It will always be cringe.

some people may have that opinion and they're allowed to have that opinion and say it and you're allowed to have your opinion and say it, however other's opinions about other's opinions aren't interesting to me

It's uncanny, like a black metal band

>It's uncanny, like a black metal band
Seeing Black artists making metal would be odd, but like metal fans wouldn't be bitching about it the same way people bitch about Whites doing rap
>>

Of the detractors, they come in a few flavours:
To some blacks, rap is "theirs" and they dislike whites the most, so whites making money off something "they" created is offensive to them. (even though its not really blacks propping up rap)
It doesn't matter that there are corny black rappers, as long they are black. but corny white rappers, oh its subversive, the horror!
Then to some its an inferiority complex, they are living in a white country, where most things were built and maintained by whites, rap is something they can claim but when a white rapper comes along and he's better than some black rappers, it makes those with the inferiority complex feel that they'll dominate in rap too.

Obviously I'm talking about White guys being serious about their rap career, not some goofball making Zelda rap on YouTube

Hip-hop isn't a product of the shelf
Musical genres have social contexts thay birthed them

this.
someone tell tosin abasi to put down the guitar and pick up a gold chain

It’s black people scared of another Elvis situation where “their thing” is taken from them, it almost happened with Eminem but then he got sober and made worse music
>>

The big issue with white rappers is that they are incapable of capturing the masculine thuggish and low iq vulgarity of blacks. It's not just about the music itself but the themes as well. This is why nu metal kinda worked and white rap fails. Even Eminem was unable to do this and could only create Bart Simpson rap. And this was when rap was considered good. Now it's the worst genre in existence so whites trying to emulate this will fail to actually create anything good. Blacks are the king of the lumpen so trying to compete with them here is just one big humiliation ritual for the wiggers.

Jugallos are family get fucked

>>131786049
this is why they killed nu metal btw. They didn't like seeing white boys chud out on their own terms. I unironicaly believe this is the genre that could be brought back and revitalize rock and white male led music but people aren't ready for that yet so you are stuck with over produced white girl pop and booty shaking shieeet nigga muhfuggin rap.

We have come a long way since Eminem. It’s normal to like white rappers now just because hiphop has fully been embraced by mainstream culture

Years ago this was somewhat the case. But it's not. Check the charts of the last 5 years.

Most of them are just cornballs. If there were more white rappers like Paul Wall, nobody would bat an eye.
