I started composing. I put down a little riff I didn't overthink, I finally, FINALLY, settled for a vocal line and working through nailing the rhythm with the harmonius accompaniment of the 6-string. For the first time the instrument reveals its life to me. I am reminded of the times when as a teenager I would have pictures of rock gods on my wall and seeing their equipment boxes when touring and thinking "anybody can buy a guitar. But those individuals on the wall, they are there, performing and touring on the merit of how they put their personal spin on it. Their compositions on this instrument, their input, their individuality, is what brought them to the limelight, and the instrument mediated that."
