In the UK of the 90s, these guys were - without any hyperbole whatsoever - on the same level of popularity as The Beatles or Micheal Jackson.

>popular on a tiny island of inbred retards for a few years
sure same thing

Noel definitely did that jaw enhancing surgery, or whatever it's called, in the early 00s.
>>
>>131792512
Being the most successful act in the most stacked and competitive decade in the most musically talented country is an achievement anon yes.

The American equivalent to Oasis was garbage like Limp Bizkit and Pearl Jam. You do not produce good music.

>The American equivalent to Oasis was garbage like Limp Bizkit and Pearl Jam.
Oh-Gay-Sis doesn't even get mentioned when you search up 90s Rock Bands lmao
>>

>pajeet AI says
Oh well that settles it. Just ignore that fact Waysis btfos all those bands in pretty much every metric that exists. That list is super dire btw. Feel bad for amerimutts if that's the stuff you lot were listening to in the 90s god damn
>>
>>131792764
Everyone on that list except Nirvana, Chili Peppers and Radiohead are a genuine nobody. Brodie comparing Stone Temple Pilots and Alice in Chains to Oasis lol who the fuck is that

Amerimutts know them as the the guys who did Wonderwall and that needs to change. They are the biggest band ever after The Beatles.
>>
>>131792764
You'd be lucky to find anyone who isn't a white american that has even heard of Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Rage, Stone Temple Pilots or No Doubt
>>
>>131793485
They are still selling out world tours instantly my retarded friend. Comfortably bigger than your favourite band.
>>
>>131793723
>incorrect
It's not. Amerimutts need not apply because you weren't there. Oasis in the 90s in the UK were Beatles and MJ tier popular. It's just a fact.
>>
>In the UK of the 90s, these guys were - without any hyperbole whatsoever - on the same level of popularity as The Beatles or Micheal Jackson
nowhere near. they were a phenomenon sure but half the population werent interested at all cos they were into dance music. and they werent even as popular with the remaining half as the Beatles were with everyone. you only have to compare record sales for confirmation, even in the pre-internet age they sold a fraction of the albums the Beatles did.
>>
>>131793851
>sure
Brits don't speak like this. Amerishart larper spotted

Morning Glory has outsold every Beatles album and Definitely Maybe has outsold all but Sgt Pepper in the UK. Their peak was higher than The Beatles peak.
>>
>>131792764
listing no doubt is smart of the jewbot but the SP rec’s are pure heeb youtube narrative bullshit.

no doubt was a way bigger band than baldo fatso’s flash in the pan bullshit. and unlike baldo gwen had ‘00s hits.
>>
>>131793920
Im English you rancid little cunt
also Im old and remember this shit cos I was a teenager when Oasis were big. you on the other hand really are larping, as someone who has a clue what theyre talking about
also youre wrong about the album sales, WtSMG sold <12M, with 4.8 in the UK, Sgt Peppers sold >18M with 5.1 in the UK even with the under-reporting of album sales back in the 60s.

and on top of all that Oasis were fucking shit anyway
>>
>>131792718
all of those groups, including Oasis are B-tier at best
Limp Bizkit is D-tier

Oasistards forget that The Beatles wrote very concise and catchy songs with interesting chord changes and innovated with sound, songwriting and structure in their later albums

The first two Oasis albums are worse versions of The Stone Roses with terrible production/mixing and pointlessly elongated songs and not even the most dedicated ‘waysis fans rate anything they made after What’s the Story, comparing them to The Beatles is insulting in every way.
>>
I wonder if Noel was ever self aware enough to be baffled by the nation's enthusiasm for his half-arsed plagiarised nursery rhymes
>>
>>131794022
Nonsense. Morning Glory sold 6.2 million in the UK (3rd highest ever) Sgt Pepper sold 5.6 million. This is with the Beatles having 30 years longer btw. Unlucky lil bro
>>
>>131792280
They probably still are over there. What's more interesting is how every britrock band since then has massively underperformed
>>
>>131794185
Early Oasis, when they were called The Rain, did sound somewhat similar to the Stone Roses. Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory do not whatsoever, like at all. They have almost nothing in common actually.

Stone Roses is psychedelic, atmospheric and has dreamy vocals. Oasis is just straight up loud as fuck rock music for stadiums of drunks to sing along to.
