holy shit.... HOLY FUCKING SHIT
>>

is the tone-deaf singing supposed to be ironic?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AcFDFqehAU

listen to this and tell me it doesn't make your soul cry
>>
>>131813093
dilettantism on full display. indie-neposhits tongue my anus.
>>
>>131813093
Sorry bud, we're not impressionable 13 year olds riding school buses in winter watching the snow fall thinking about our futures anymore. We know the world is shit. We've also all heard Radiohead before. Pretty damn good though my man.
>>
>The beach ball cathedral swam like a sea-fly swarming
>And you were fighting with people
>Round about where the apple trains swing round roaring
>And the birdhouse in the palace
>Burned to the ground in the noon-time rain as it was reforming
>I don’t like what happened to Jesus
>But I sure do like Saturday morning
Can someone with high IQ explain the meaning of these lyrics?
>>
thought this was a smear of shit on a wall by the thumbnail
>>
>>131812162
for the zoomers who has yet to hear music from before they were born this is ripping off Times They R a-Changin'
>>
>>131813368
He's trying to be a post ironic David Berman without any of the feeling. If it doesn't catch you when listening to it then don't even bother looking for any 'meaning'

a jewish boy who can't say he's disgusted by his own religion is forced to speak in code to avoid revealing himself to his relatives

I can't tell if this album insert art is ironic or not
>>
Does anyone know if this was recorded on 35mm?
>>
>>131813777
It’s like, you know how Pavement had a schtick of mentioning random old people from history? It’s just copied from that but faker feeling.
>>
>>131812162
I was listening to this on a busy metro train today and a baby was crying ln like a falsetto or yodel register and it was harmonizing with his voice.

it's a fucking amazing record desu i can't even lie.

>>131813368
The last two lines are I think about the fact he's acknowledging the contrast between Jesus' suffering and sacrifice and everyday mundane life like a nice Saturday morning. Also he's aware of his limitations of what he can even conceive, he respects the sacrifice that much that trying to explain it turns nonsensical.

>the business man came to pay respects to my widow
>the Catholics all sang their psalms to the sky
>and when the snow caps melted my eyes
>the stained glass cracked before the Lord
>as I remain here in this plain afternoon
>and this clear head of mine is open as ever
>but I can't mark the time for the saints anymore

Analyze these lyrics I cranked out in about 2 minutes. They're super deep, trust me

Literally proving Goosefag's point, Cameron winter is in fact a very good writer, probably the only gen Z lyricist out there operating at that level right now. Also Olivia Rodrigo wasn't walking straight in that pic so he's a fucking chad.
>>
>>131819040
>Literally proving Goosefag's point
It's not tho

Stream of consciousness world salad isn't good writing.

>step 1: Write down a bunch of brain junk
>step 2: edit the mental diarrhea and carve away the clunky parts to the point where it's singable
>morons think you're a lyrical genius
>$$$(((profit)))$$$
>>
>>131819086
So then you do it fag. Winter is ugly as all hell and has a terrible voice, can't play, etc, but people enjoy the lyrics
>>
>>131819118
I'm not a musician. And if I were, my music certainly would not have vocals.

>people enjoy the lyrics
People are easily fooled - and no one excels at fooling people more than kikes.
>>
>>131819170
>I’m not a musician
Opinion disregarded
>>
>>131819481
Literally, people who don't make art are subhuman, if a child hasn't produced anything by age twelve they should be culled, for the good of mankind
>>
>>131813093
the old version of this song is better
>>
I get really creeped out the way people don’t even seem to hear themselves when they talk about this guy. They say stuff like this record destroyed my emotions, this record will be remembered for centuries, with no irony.
>>
>>131822280
what's not to get? it's like the flute album, you just have to like it
>>
>>131819534
Not everyone should make art (we still need corpo wageslaves after all), but if you have strong opinions on it without any stake in the knowledge or experience of its creation, then your opinion is objectively retarded and irrelevant.
>>
>>131813368
>things need to have MEANING! like what's the POINT?
is this your first time being exposed to art? grow up
>>
Honestly a fascinating example of musical affective priming, and how humans search for patterns and meaning in everything. A nonsense lyric will suddenly jump out and hit you straight to the core when combined with emotionally charged music.
>>
>>131823145
thats funny because just reading this sent me a notification
some people are with it, and some people aren't
>>
I’m hoping to catch his set at Bayreuth
