They died the moment Kevin Cadogan left. If Jenkins hadn't been such a selfish bastard the original lineup could've put out a few more albums at the very least and it would've been better than what we got with Out of the Vein and Ursa Major.
Blue was kind of shit compared to self titled
>>131818707Well yeah this is true, it's unquestionably the weaker of the two. 10 Days Late, 1000 Julys and an Ode to Maybe are my favourite tracks from that. Never Let You Go is alright but it's Blue's equivalent of Semi-Charmed Life and while I like both they're overplayed. But yeah compared to self-titled it's nothing, almost every song on that album is fantastic. How do you feel about Out of the Vein, anon? I have mixed opinions on it, I used to quite like it when I was younger but now only Blinded and Can't Get Away really do anything for me, and overall the quality of the albums decreases the further away from 1997 you get.
>>131818686I doubt it. Lightening only struck once for them since their self titled was released when upbeat pop rock was everywhere. By the early 2000s they would've been pushed out regardless if Cadogan stayed or not
