Why did this album become their big hit compared to the previous ones? Was it just because it has s smooth production sound to it? Or because the songs were all connected so you could trip on it easier? I thought Meddle was a good album

>why
it is a mystery and if you can figure out the answer you can make millions $$$
>>
Because it's good, and if some geriatric wants to tell me it's the best album of all time I can't even argue with him

I dont disagree, I think its a good album but I want to figure out how PF figured out the secret formula between the two years between this and Meddle

oof, hard call, you cant outright deny it or talk it down
youd have to drown it out by a bunch of noteworthy counter-examples, which is an extremely difficult task, albeit because taste is so different, and dark side also manages to capture a bunch of overlap

one of the doors' albums could probably keep up, maybe
>>
timing. it's always timing. there probably are other reasons too, but the main one is timing

it wasnt a big hit in 1973, it slowly gained its legendary status and sold the bulk of its numbers over the following decades
>>
>>131830358
it is solid in every regard

>wasnt a big hit in 1973
