/mu/ was crying endlessly for a Cobainesque white rock n roll savior to rescue music and when we finally get one, you don't want him.Explain.

Cobain didn't have to pay people to talk about his records

>>131835798He had MTV shilling his slop 24/7. Nirvana was no better or more organic than Geese.
>>131836264You weren't alive btw
hes a jewish nepo baby.He is nowhere near a nirvana tier level. Kurt cobain and nirvana discombobulated pop music's DNA and rearranged it to the point a beautiful contradiction happened in which alternative music became mainstream. He has not dropped a smells like teen spirit or nevermind tier album, he has not dropped a zeitgeist defining youth anthem. His album and music should be so big he has music businss guys parachuting into small towns across america searching for the next cameron, the next geese. If he were on nirvanas level he would be topping the charts, displacing beyonce and drake and taylor swift, making people know there is a new sheriff in townto be the top rock guy you need two things, men want to be you and women want to fuck youthis guy isnt kicking off a rock revolution, he is not bringing something new to the table, and his music is meh
>>131836337>If he were on nirvanas level he would be topping the charts, displacing beyonce and drake and taylor swift, making people know there is a new sheriff in townYou're retarded. Nirvana's highest charting song didn't even peak in the top 5. Nirvana had credib specifically because they weren't trying to compete with Poptimists, rock was already seen as dead on the charts by that point anyways.
>>131836337Your English is abysmal but you're not wrong mostlyGeese is not inspiring kids to make guitar music, not even from an indie standpoint. Critics tried forcing the same thing recently with the windmill sceneBut even more so, Geese has zero mainstream chart topping appeal
>>131836337Nirvana literally never had a single number 1 hit outside of the alternative charts
People are really going to try and convince you that Geese will have some sort of Nirvana style impact on music and pop culture lol
He's interesting if you've not listened to much singer songwriting shitHis saving grace is the fact that he's young with his own vocals in an era where every singer sounds the same
Nirvana sucks ass, Cameron's already better than Cobain and he isn't even that good
>>131836337trvth nvke
>>131836428He's interesting even if you heard tons. He's above average, you fucks don't want to admit it simply because he has been getting marketed incessantly for almost 2 years now. But nobody mentions how Chaotic Good promotes a lot of artists other than him. I've seen praise for MJ Lenderman and The Hellp all the time here, they're on it too, and a TON of others, but Cameron took all of the reprisal
he probably wants to be more compared to bob dyaln or cohen. He is an upper class jewish nepo baby with a PR firm marketing him.Kurt was a lower class guy from rural Seattle who was a heroin addict that supposedly lived under a bridge for a time, kurt grew up surrounded by blue collar people and rednecks.
>>131836483He's interesting to you!I've listened to enough singer songwriter stuff and music in general to where I'm just not super blown away by his stuff. it's fine, he has a good voiceI don't care about the marketing aspect as much, because I don't have to engage with it
>>131836499>kurt grew up surrounded by blue collar people and rednecks. And he famously hated them all to bits just for existing. So much for your supposed working class hero. Cameron came from a household of rich jewish swingers, but he might actually be far more class conscious than that retarded overrated wastoid freak from the PNW ever was>If Jesus Christ came to New York>Not one dime to his name>They would eat his poor heart with knife and fork>and stew his bones and brains
>>131836548I don't think anybody is calling him a working class hero lolHe's just stating the differences between the twoIf Cameron Winter is some got it out the mud rock savior then yeah, Avril Lavigne was a Punk Princess
>>131836548yawnWhat if God was one of us? Just a stranger on a bus
>>131836596>If Cameron Winter is some got it out the mud rock saviorHe's not a savior of anything, he's just a talented young dude who also happens to have the entire machine working for him (like I said in another thread, his dad isn't even rich enough to warrant it, there's probably something more sinister at play, I won't deny that but I also won't knock his work for it). It sucks that a lot of people less fortunate than he is don't have the same opportunities to get their music promoted to an audience, but even then, I also think there isn't anybody else making music remotely like he does. He's not some artificially constructed record label cumrag like Sombr, he's also not another indiefag-turned-pop muppet getting his music written and produced by Jack Antonoff or whoever. He has his own voice and he makes music in a decidedly old-fashioned unpopular style, and he has already managed to own it too. Are there millions of disgruntled Cameron Winters just walking around America? Do you know any of them?
>>131834586>he's a JEW/thread
>>131835244*TWO* (2) talentless hands!!?
>>131834573Gaslighting. The Cobain figure needs to shift the culture and rebel. Winter has done neither.
>>131834573>Cobainesque white rock n roll saviorand it happened all the way back in the ‘90s with kurt’s blessing, little one. https://youtu.be/S6JXhMqZMnI
>>131834573Chaotic Good thread on the 'log
>>131836370That's more because normies have a bias for poptimismNevermind did top Billboard 200 though, dethroning MJ. That was kinda epochal.
I don't mind his music but we didn't need another classic rock throwback band
Everybody was making fun of his cover of the new radicals kek
