Hamilton is very very very underrated. Not the fact that some songs are overused, i admit it, but no one seems to notice the genius work that is behind that musical. Lin Manuel took rap, a genre that is RHYTHM based, and mixed it with musicals, using techniques used in WAGNER's operas, including leitmotifs, that are melody-based.

Musical theater is one of the lowest forms of art, down there with finger painting and scrapbooking.
