Is Bobby Dylan the coolest old rockstar? Doesn't get political, doesn't involve himself in any culture war BS and doesn't overexpose himself like the rest of them, he just does his own thing which is very respectable even if you hate him

Bob Dylan was famous for never ever writing political songs. "Ol' No Politics Bob" the would call him
>>
>>131865324
He hasn't written anything political in years though

It's funny how much his political era defines him despite being a fairly brief phase of his early career that he very quickly distanced himself from.

he's not a rock star, he's a folk artist, and he has hinted at having sold his soul to the devil for fame, which is horrifically uncool

especially considering his wish wasn't for talent in a genre people actually want to listen to, but rather to have his talentlessness ignored and sucked off anyway despite making what would be consigned to the landfill if anyone else had shat it out

He wrote a 20 minute song about his JFK assassination theory just a few years ago

The Rolling Thunder Review period and the album Desire are quite political. He followed this up with his Evangelical Christian albums that have songs about how everyone is being unfair to israel. This is a popular misconception among people who don't really listen to Bob Dylan

I'm aware he made one off political songs afterwards. I think you are over exaggerating a tad. From memory Desire only had one explicitly political song in Hurricane. And he only ever did one song about Israel.
>>
>>131866867
The exaggeration is that he very quickly distanced himself from politics after 1964

Honestly that song goes kinda hard

that song was also just an excuse to say the N word

Are you seventeen?
>>

I seem to remember him being called Bob "totally not on my ninth religious awakening" Dylan

My man there's entire albums dealing with the political hot button du jour...
Senor might be his worst song ever...
