I think it was off Sworn To The Great Divide, where his harshes were very clear and the lyrics audible, and he'd often use them well and not just "all verse/all chorus" so he basically broke me past that "filter". But once he did that I moved on pretty quick and melodeath became a stepping stone genre in full but Soilwork went down the ranks for me quite quickly once I dove into more. Sadly I think that got me more into metalcore/deathcore, but then elodeath was like my primary side hustle genre.I remember liking singles of theirs, and still like a few of those (e.g. I always liked Light The Torch as it had a fast double bass section I think), but the full albums usually left me disappointed iirc. This is going nearly 15 years back though.
