the songwriting on sixteen stone is so much better than razorblade suitcase, it makes me wonder if a lot of the earlier stuff was written by someone else. there are a couple decent songs on the latter, but overall their debut was way better. maybe they realized they could coast off gavin's looks alone.silverchair did the me too grunge better anyway
