Ok well I’m not TECHNICALLY from Hawthorne but I’m from Cerritos which is also in Los Angeles county and I think Beach Boys are more of a broadly “SoCal” band.

Bob Seger is the most famous, Iggy Pop is the most influential.
I love Seger, but his ballads are schmaltzy and corny. but the rockers like Her Strut are awesome.
Iggy is obviously cool, seen him on the American Caesar tour.

I'm Polish so I'm pretty sure no one of you would have known any of the bands from my region. But Ray Manzarek of The Doors fame had mixed roots from my hometown and the town where I live now which is pretty cool. The Doors are one of my favorite bands so I'm leaning toward pride
