you learn to stop taking american politics seriously when you realize most of them just see it as nothing more than team sports/tv entertainment and arent thinking about these thing systemically. they love the system if "their guy/team" is in, then they hate it if the other guy is in, rinse and repeat, nobody is actually fixing anything, and then someone will say "youre a fence sitter le both sides bad youre working for them!!"
