And the crowd looked uncomfortable. A fierceness overcame him and he began his set. A mix of Britney Spears songs and Jethro Tull. The crowd listened silently. And he knew by looking in their eyes, that he was right. That he had won.

Of the big three (Jazzmaster, Jaguar, Mustang):>The JM is the same scale length as Strats and Teles so they feel the closest to the Fenders you’re probably used to, and they sound like fatter Strats. The JM neck pickup is probably my single favorite Fender neck pickup sound>The Jag was Fender’s primo top of the line guitar when it came out and is a very well thought out guitar if you can get past its quirks. It’s a shorter scale guitar but also the heaviest of the three. Short scale is a turn off for some people but realistically it’s identical to playing a regular scale Fender with a capo on the first fret. Very bright pickups, very ice picky if you don’t dial your gear in for it. I’d argue it’s Fender’s most versatile guitar as far as sounds go, the neck is very Strat like and the bridge is very Tele like with the tone rolled back a bit>The JM and the Jag both have Fender’s best vibrato unit hands down, it can be a pain to learn how to set up (plenty of videos showing how, it’s easier now than it’s ever been to dial these guitars in) but once dialed in it’s incredibly stable and smooth. You can divebomb and return to zero nearly as well as on a Floyd. They’re great. Both also have the rhythm circuit with is basically just a neck pickup only mode that is very bassy, lots of people just never use it but there are some neat sounds to get out of it>The Mustang is another short scale like the Jag and is the lightest of the three. Their pickups are basically just Strat pickups with flat pole pieces under plastic covers. They are lower output pickups. Their vibrato units are even more of a pain to set up and are even more finicky, but once dialed in they’re great. I’ve owned all three, currently don’t have a JM but I’ve got the other two. Again it’s all preference. They all have their pros and cons and they all have their quirks, some more than others. ty for ted talk etc

NewAnon here from last thread. Completely new to music and know nothing.Back from the guitar store. I didnt really want to commit to the purchase yet, wanted to think about it more but it happened. The guy pointed me towards getting an acoustic instead of electric. My worries about sound were put to rest when I saw how quietly you can play. So yeah I think I think it was the right choice.He is heavily pushing for lessons to get me started and has my number. Idk, maybe it would be a good idea to just get a few starter lessons and then continue online after.I like the guitar, it has a built in tuner and can also connect to an amp despite being an acoustic.

I've been saving up for my first $1000 guitar. Are the 1k Pacificas the best price-value ratio you can get?
