To be honest, I haven't listened to DIIV in ages, I liked Oshin and is the is are, some say Deceiver was really good, but to me Oshin is the best one, this album is mid, maybe because I stopped listening to this type of gay Post Punk + shoegaze formula when I realised I was no longer 16.This album is just mid, I would say it has some good riffs and so on, I think DIIV was kinda known back in the early 2010s alt hoes were the ones that show me this, and I fell I was when shoegaze had a major comeback thanks to /mu/ and RyM so I kinda get nostalgic because highschool was a great era for me, still, nothing new, same crap trying to replicate an already perfected formula.5/10Songs I liked in no particular order:Us against youEvangelizer Underground Kid Idiot in the sky
>>132005390The production quality is good, the album sounds pleasing and it has good riffs. Other than that, it didn't blow me away but I did like a few songs like Us Agaist You, Kid, Evangelizer and I might be forgetting a couple more.To me, Deceiver was stronger and Frog was their peak. It's an alright album that might be the least interesting in their discography for now.
I liked their gruge sound lately. Haven't listened to ZIRP yet.
