Wanted to start playing guitar again so I bought a cheapo Harley bent one tele for 150 eurodollars. It's shockingly well made. Need to fix two fret ends and maybe ask someone who knows what he's doing to adjust the nut, bit too high. Pickups are a bit shit. Best thing is the fret leveling, but maybe I was just lucky with mine.

Retard here, couple weeks into learning bass.A big issue I'm noticing is that my notes don't seem to flow into each other. I can't play lots of different notes very quickly without them sounding like a series of standalone notes, even if the timing is right.Not a problem at all when I'm doing a simple song but fancy stuff seems impossible. Any tips for getting over this, or do I just brute force it with exercises?
>>132049085set aside 10 minutes per day and slow it down to like 40 bpm and do quarter notes for 5 minutes, then 1/8th notes for 5 minutes. the goal is to get the gap times between the notes as short as possible, this is called playing legato. shortening the notes is staccato. just start with typical 1234 exercises because you really want to focus on the fundamental technique. when you have that down move on to your scales or whatever easy song you know. you don’t want to overload yourself with extra things to be mindful of, this is a fundamental technique exercise. it’s just a bad habit in your muscle memory that you can and will correct very quickly.
