What's your favorite plectrum?
dunlop .88mm nylon
>>132072877Same but 1.0 MM. For bass.
Punchy and quiet.
>>132072877Same but .77
>>132072859Use a 10p piece you poseur
I use electrical tape, cut dime sized, usually 4 or 6 pieces stuck together back-to-back. The further you move your thumb from the contact point the softer the action becomes. Cut up plastic coffee can lids also feel nice, but nothing beats using fingers
>>132072980What 3rd world shit hole do you live in?
>>132073013My grandpa used to do this, and I take after him, use his guitar, etc. Works well with flat wound strings too, supple combo
>>132072877Why these over tortex
I use a penny. It's become completely smooth and lost all its details.
>>132072859Medium gauge anything. Right now im using some picks my brother got me at riot fest a few years ago. They say theyre crybaby by tortex
>>132072859My index finger
>>132073280pretty much just habitit works well for me, so why change?
whatever material my old health insurance cards are made of. Incredibly thin, durable and keeps me from breaking my strings because sometimes I get too carried away.
Right now my go to is the jazz 3 max grip carbon fibre. I've been fond of the yellow turtle for a while and purple t3. Jazz 3 xl and tortex jazz 3 xl are also pretty nice.

This one, because the real triangular picks Daron Malakian uses are apparently made only for him by Dunlop and alternatives are extremely rare to find especially where I live, but online too anyway. You really get some time to get used, and then you feel them being very efficient and interesting to pick with; Daron is absolutely right when he says they're comfortable. I'm gonna post the pick he uses in my next post.
i use these for bass, and the regular green tortex for guitar
I switch to classical guitar because i despise using picks.
>>132075004They're custom made for him. You can only buy it as a collector item from people who got it from a show. And you obviously could sand a similar one to make one yourself, but it's really not the same thing.
>>132075020I despise using hammers and spoons.
>>132075020you can markknopflermaxx
>>132072859Flow Standard 1.0, 1.12, 1.5 or 2.0 for cheap mass market picks. But the Lunar Black picks are pretty good for shredding, too.
351 THIN
>>132072859You posted it... I think. I've had mine for so long the logo has completely worn off.
>>132072859i like the little turtle guy
>>132075020Have you tried hybrid picking or fingerstyle?
>>132073268Seems interesting. Is it really wood-made?
This is the thread I enjoy a lot
>>132080424yeah, you don't seem much smarter than that
>>132072859*leaves orange streaks across your pickguard*
jazz III but i modify mine. i twist them with vice grips so they're slightly spiraled (fits between my thumb and fingers better) and i shave the tip down with a razorblade. been doing it for years.
anyone tried snorting pick dust?
>>132080942have you tried not being a disappointment to your parents?
Celluloid tortiseshell that says Fender and is floppy. I'll never have a problem finding one to buy.
>>132081019>thin and floppyjust like ur weiner
/gg/ spazz in the house
>>132073294How often do you have to change strings?
gonna buy a blue chip jazz iii... heh yeah I'm kind of rich.
>>132073294post a vocaroo of you playing. i wanna hear that penny-tone
>>132081080>/gg/- Great Gear
>>132081080GOT HIS ASS
holding my thumb and index finger like I'm holding a pick but I just use my index fingernail like the pick instead
