Not at all, because I've actually experienced crashes. Last year I was riding up a bridge and a car caused me to crash and I was knocked unconscious while wearing a helmet. I had a brain bleed, and had bilateral aneurysms in the carotid artery in my brain and had to get a stent put in. If I wasn't wearing the helmet I probably would have died or had a much worse injury. So fucking wear one idiot. I can't even remember what happened when I crashed, all I know is what the people who called the ambulance for me told me happened, total amnesia.
i have never been a believer in typical bike helmets. the coverage is poor and the material is flimsy. worse yet, it is way too tight to your head. at least skateboard helmets cover your whole head and are stood off by a bit of webbing. and if you look at any other helmet for basically anything else you'll see the same sort of thing. it's not held fast to your head, you have some room in there so the helmet has room to slow down and let your head decelerate a little bit faster than the helmet does when you hit the ground at 80kph>BBBBUT MUH AEROjust ditch the helmet and go full chromedome waxed bald
