>>2075596sweet. did they pull you over?
After a few hot weeks we have about a week of cool windy weather. Taking a few days off riding after getting a tooth pulled at the dentist. Took nearly 25 minutes of repeated drilling and yanking to get it out. I'm surprised my jaw doesn't hurt more. Damn near impossible to keep food from getting in the hole while eating. At least I can flush it out with my water flosser on its lowest setting while holding the wand back a ways.
I didn't ride today, but yesterday I saw a bunch of roadies stopped on the bridge and two of them were squaring off and the more roided up one sort of made a lunge/move at the less roided up one (they were both looking pretty stronk) and the other roadies were trying to pull them apart and be like calm down mang. I left because well, what's the point of standing around rubbernecking like an asshole, it's none of my business but here I am blogposting about it anyway. I imagine one of them almost caused a crash though why else. Maybe one of them said mean things about hookless or TPU.Also last weekend I stopped at a public park/pool thing for some gatorade because I was running out of water and a bunch of middle aged dads had surrounded a middle aged fat guy who had what looked like high end photography gear and he looked fearful/defensive and it looks like they thought he was taking creep shots of the kids and things were looking pretty tense with everyone filming on their phones like it was going on youtube and the fat guy was trying to explain how he had the pictures to prove something (?). I didn't get there early enough to see how it started and I didn't want to end up being a bystander in a viral youtube video so I left. Maybe he got his ass kicked it went viral or maybe the cops showed up and he showed the pics and was exonerated who knows. I don't really want to know. This blog post brought to you by some shitty product you don't care about, use code #schizophrenicfred for 35% off your first month.

>>2076260>>2075437thankstoday went on a 55k trip to test luggage for an upcoming long trip i want to do in a few weeksloaded the bike with 6 days clothing, sleeping, shower, a laptop w. charger stuff, 2 action cameras and a drone, spares, a bit of food and some other things and the only thing that sucked was going up a 25% hill

Did my second metric century this year. Lowered speed a bit, so HR stayed in zone 2 for longer. Bretty slow, barely over 20 kmh average in urban/semi urban setting, buuuut I didn't feel dead after the ride. Actually felt pretty good. Historically I've ridden my long rides too kinda hard, and been completely broken when I get home.So next time I will do longer slow ride. 120 prolly, then le imperial centry next i guess. Maybe 200km in two months or so. >>2075426Cool purple bike.

had another chain tension related rear wheel lockup today. i think i have to drill my frame to attach this stupid tensioner better, it keeps fucking sliding around no matter how much i reef on it

I put on a fair bit of weight a week ago. I thought it was weird because I only dialed back my riding a bit due to weather and a tooth extraction. Yesterday I pissed out about 4 lbs of clear water. Turns out the antibiotics had caused water retention.Looks like an extended rainy period is nearly over. The mosquitoes are going to get very bad right away.
First ride on new bike. I live on a dirt road connected to a rail trail.

20km ride today, cool weather
cool bit of uphill in my city, goes for 2k 4% avg, has a stretch of 10% for about 500 meters, fun bit of road
>>2077260Gotta say anon, that was one hell of a splash. But the fact that you two were going pretty fast on wet roads is even more intense. At least hope it was a nice ride!
Did a ciclismo today.
>>2077419yeah it was a good day out, some incredible scenery
do you "people" not have jobs
>>2077477Imma take my bike to work today I my car and then ride after work today and tomorrow. Might even toast in this bread
i bike commute and despite it having a very pretty trail as part of it and another leg of it being through fairly picturesque "old style" suburbs i have done it so many times it is not interesting anymore and i have begun to loathe the nature for being overgrown onto the trail and blocking my sight lines around corners i wanna take at 50kmhstill makes my day better to see animals though. yesterday saw a deer hanging out with a raccoon
My four year old switched from his balance bike to pedals just a couple weeks ago and he's already yelling to me "papa look I only need one hand!" My two and a half year old could probably go to pedals later this summer if I could find a short enough bike, but even the smallest specialty bikes are too big, he's a very short two year old. I can't wait for them to be fast enough to keep up with me at a leisurely pace on my favorite paths. I'm very proud of both of them and I don't have many friends so I just wanted to share. /blog
Replaced my cartridge bottom bracket which had started sounding like an empty spray paint can on recent rides. Creaks and rattles on every pedal stroke drives me nuts.

I didn't have much time so I just rode for an hour. The headwind in the first half was rough. Tailwind on the way back but I was already warmed up so I went for like 5 minutes at 100% and made a bunch of PRs.Later I met up with a qt 3.14 and we had lunch and I tried again to get her to go riding with me. That was probably a bad idea. I think my extreme autismo and infodumping scared her off. God I sure fucked that one up.

>>2077616lol why are your aero bars so high?
>>2077617Because I am massively heavy and use meme bars as an alternative forward resting point when riding. When hands start to go numb I switch to the """"areo barz"""" position to put my formidable heft forward weight onto the meme bars and into the fore arm pads to lighten up my hands that are pins and needles by mile 10. I ride like this until my hands work again or until I get weird fore arm pains from the meme bars and then just switch between pain positions grinding out miles. (I do this nearly daily)
>>2077617OK to better answer, I boughted big tard bar risers and made them fit to my shit bars (by drilling them out) so I could ride on the hoods then transition to a forearm weighted position to take weight off my hands without having to move my body and center of mass on the bike much or at all. For giga tards: The point was to go from a weighting the hoods posture to a weighting the aero bar pads posture with with minimal body positioning changes between postures so I can ride longer

Low light stuff on iphones blows now. I just want to be able to see what’s in the frame, not make the whole thing look like daylight.
Found a handlebar grip while riding tonight, not a complete set so I didn't keep it.
