As someone who for now has only flown in A320s and B737s I'm thinking of doing some bucket list planes. How long do you think Luftansa will keep 747's? What about A340's? At least Emirates will seemingly fly the A380 until 2040s, so with that I have time. But the 747 and A340 not so much.

They've officially announced the A340-600s will be retired in October. I am very lucky I will be taking one in August. That's always been my bucket list plane other than the A380 which as you mentioned still has a bit of life left in them
