Quick reminder you should not own any electric vehicles, unless you live in a house on a large plot of land where you store batteries in a shed large distance apart from your home.

or just
buy some sheet metal and rockwool insulation...
maybe with a sprinkler set up

My pitch would be a plastic dresser, where the upper drawers are filled with sand.
Thermal runaway melts the plastic, dumping the sand to smother the battery and provide thermal ballast.
Still want to keep that outdoors, though...

this only happens if you're a retarded nigger who charges it improperly

clever. I think it would work but yeah, outside. even if it worked perfectly and nothing else inside caught on fire, the fumes would make your house smell for a really long time

ICE vehicles can catch fire and create exhaust that suffocates you. Don't get them either.

It's easier to put out a gasoline fire than a lithium fire. Lithium-ion batteries don't ignite as easily as gasoline does but as a consequence it tends to burn far hotter

remember to keep your lithium phones and laptops in the shed too.

Unless you live across the street from the fire department, your safety is not impacted by the ease with which the fire is extinguished.

>corporate flat art showing a woman putting out a fire
Yeah, I'm gonna believe this sourceless graphic and just trust that it's entirely in context as well.

What if you stick it in one of those fireproof chemical/explosive cabinets?
