I saw a crackwhore stealing a cheap mtb today, while probably high and wearing high heel boots. She tried and failed to ride it a few times and ended up dragging sideways it like it was a corpse she didn't even know how to carry a bike beside her. It was quite the spectacle, she's quite the neighborhood character.

I have a lot of stolen bikes. I live in a highly bike populated European city. Bike thefts would steal a bike and then, IF ITS NOT A MASTERPIECE, drop it at random places around the city, waiting for when to sell it. One of the places is my bike rack, that is in my private hallway, in the city center of the town. From time to time i see a bike being left there. I spend 2 months contacting the police Authority, searching serial numbers on bike owners lists, looking on used bicycles sites, etc...I NEVER EVER have been able to return a bike.So,. Let's say, after 2 months, i angle grind the lock and keep the bike. I have never sell such a bike. Some i kept myself, some i gifted after intensive restoration (think what 2 months in the weather can do to a bike that somebody already has stolen).In 5 years I collected around 10 bikes. Fron junk to very nice 29ers.I could have sold everything for 1.2k euros.I restored them for around 500 euros. So, 10 stolen bikes, restored to perfection, are worth about 700 euro.
