Soul vs. soulless
There's at least one left in my province, and right under it is a payphone.
>>2079948An urban environment must certainly have done a number on you if you have any special and even positive feelings about street lights and feel offended by an update.
>>2079994not op but modern street lights are way too fucking bright, the color temp is glaring, and they have worse shrouding/lensing so you get fucktons of glare but less of the light actually hits the goddamn ground so you can see where tf you're goingand cities all over are cheaping out on signage so they dont use reflective paint anymore, road signs are plain matte instead of reflective, so despite the harsher and more widespread lighting NO ONE CAN SEE SHIT
>>2079994>doesn't knowThis is why you lash out.
>>2079994>typing out something this LED-fed
>>2079994imagine outing yourself like this
>>2080004imagine letting a street light live rent free in your head.
mercury lamps were peak soulyou will never see green tokyo again, it's as sickly white as every other city now because of the ledsand not cfl's "so bad it's good" charmingly sickly, just bland
>>2080008Street lights live rent free on my street
>>2080009>you will never see green tokyoI wont ever see tokyo. You need to be a raging urbanist and motorist to go there or be takeshi.disgusting.
>>2079994I have to wear a cap at night cause they're blinding.
>>2080014Move away from towns. It does wonders for your mental state and also hardly any cagers.
>>2080011incorrect. lighting incurs some of the largest portion of department/ministry/etc of transit operational budgets
>>2080017I live in Europe. there's no "away from towns" here. I can walk to the next town over in half hour.
>>2080023I mean that's also true here in America in many places. I can also walk to the next town over in less than a half-hour, both towns have their own names and governance, but are both are considered part of the same city/"metropolitan area"
>>2080021Incorrect sweetheart. That's not rent. Try again.
>>2079948Good ol' HPS
>>2080035Also I forgot to add, the lamps in picrel have been replaced with LEDs.
>>2080023I do live in europe too, next town is more like 3/4 to one hour of walking for me but that is not the point. I can sinply choose my commute and and other trips to not lead me through town or if the trip has to end in town, take the way in that means least urban environment. Unless it's all one fused continuous city you can avoid those places.
>>2079948boomers will be subjected to this and see nothing wrong with it
